my momagenda decision

9.13.08

Okay, so I decided I want the momagenda personal portfolio in crocodile/storm grey (for anyone out there wondering…hint hint). It’s pricey ($145). I’ve been looking for it online somewhere for cheaper than the official website (http://www.momagenda.com/products.cfm?cID=17&pID=68) or with some special offer (like free shipping or free notepads or something). But, since it is new, I haven’t found any yet. I have found the spiral version on ebay, but I wouldn’t have the ability to add anything or take anything out. And, I’d like to put the kids’ class lists in there, my CBS core group list…things like that. Plus, they are discontinuing the spiral version in a couple years. So, it’s probably better to go with the new version.

…and put on a construction hat. Grrrr… Note that he still has “boo,” of course.

he’s not afraid of commitment

9.12.08

at least when it comes to accessories. My mom came up on Tuesday to make an awesome Halloween costume for Ashlyn. Essentially, she made all her Halloween costume dreams come true–she’s going to be the cutest little pirate princess you ever did see (can’t post pictures until Halloween time…sorry). Anyway, so this is more about Drew…when we took pictures of Ashlyn in her new costume, Drew had to stand by her side with his “nana” (blanket that he takes EVERYWHERE), “boo” (his pirate gun he also takes EVERYWHERE–wish he got attached to a less weaponish toy), and a pirate hat he dug out of the dress up bin. So, since then, the pirate hat has not left his head. It’s cute…yet totally annoying because he keeps fussing that it’s messed up or turned the wrong way or falling off or something. The boy won’t even sit back in the stroller for fear of it being knocked off. He cried in the bath since I made him take it off to wash his hair. I mean, come on now. He’s insanely committed to odd things. Nana has been around since he was an infant. Boo somehow became an item in maybe May. I’m hoping this pirate hat doesn’t last. Maybe I should try to steal it tonight and hide it somewhere. If I did, I’d literally have to take it from his head. Check out the picture I took while he napped today.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
