Thursday’s Things to Pray For

9.9.10

  1. Praise for a good weekend at Young Life’s Lake Champion! The kids had a ball, and even though I was working there some, we still really enjoyed it. Mark led a Bible Study both Saturday and Sunday mornings about our identity in Christ. He did an amazing job, and I’m so proud of Him.
  2. More about Mark — tomorrow is his birthday! Pray for him to experience joy tomorrow as he considers how God has blessed him and has equipped him for that which He has called him to do.
  3. Pray for all of us — we are now in full swing. Drew started preschool yesterday (3 days a week). My church women’s Bible Study started yesterday morning. My CBS (Community Bible Study) group starts next Tuesday. Swimming lessons started yesterday. And, Ashlyn’s Chinese class starts this weekend. Geez! Just writing all that out makes me a little tired! Pray that we can figure out how to balance it all while not being slaves to the schedule! I want to step back and still be able to have some fun!

Click here to learn more about Thursday’s Things to Pray For. Pray for me, for these things I list. And, leave me a comment to let me know you did if you don’t mind. It would be a great encouragement. And, I invite you to do the same on your blog.

More firsts

9.9.10

We promised Drew his day would come. And, today it did.
Drew is an official preschooler.
And, a super cute one at that.
As you can see, Lydia was pretty anxious to get in there herself (that is, until I put her down to take the picture below. I think she thought she was staying for school and started to panic).

Drew wanted to take these pictures so Evan and Ashlyn could see the “huge Legos” and his “restaurant.” I’m partial to the funky wall colors myself.

I think today was just some fun stuff; it was only 90 minutes long as a “warm up.” Drew hysterically told the family repeatedly how he just had fun and didn’t learn a thing! I think he was expecting to be doing long division by the end of the day.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
