Hurricane Central

10.29.12

Can you tell the panic we’re in here?

Drew playing an army game

Evan reading an e-book

Ashlyn teaching Lydia

Mark working from home

All while we look outside to see a rainy, blustery day and not much more than that at this point. We’re all just waiting, watching the clock, knowing the worst is coming yet tonight.
Mark’s telling the kids if they’re good today, we’ll let them stay home tomorrow.
(schools already been cancelled….shhhhh)

Just in case it gets all quiet on the Eastern front…

10.29.12

Just in case you hadn’t heard, there’s a little storm headed our way. We’ve done our part in preparing for it too–we’ve been stocking up on snacks (because there might be some serious issues if we run out of lime flavored tortilla chips), eating ice cream (we wouldn’t want to lose it), and charging all the necessary equipment (the iPad, DS units, iPods, etc.).

I even googled squalls a few minutes ago after checking the most recent hourly forecast.
If things get quiet around here, I’m likely playing legos by candlelight and trying to convince 4 children that we can have loads of fun sans Wii, computers, tv…and hot meals…and hot water…oh my.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
