Donation For Adoption Fundraising!

7.31.10

Since I’m trying to grow my friend Helen’s online business (especially since she just learned that she is going to be a mommy herself!) AND since I have a real heart for families trying hard to come up with the money to finance their international adoptions, I am personally donating one charm to be used for an adoption fundraiser.

So, here’s the deal. If you are under contract with an adoption agency already and currently doing a fundraiser(s) to finance your adoption, you are eligible to win. I will personally pay for one charm for the winner (of up to a $50 value and free shipping) from www.jiayindesigns.com to be auctioned off or raffled off or whatever as a fundraiser for you on your blog or fundraising site. The winner of the charm from your fundraiser can customize the charm.

To enter, just grab this button above and add it to your blog. All you have to do is highlight the code in the box above. Then, in blogger, go to design and then “add a gadget.” Click on “html/java script.” You can leave the title blank but in the box, paste the code you copied from here. If it doesn’t work for you, let me know.

Then, add your fundraiser link to the list below. Hopefully, you’ll get some new visitors to your fundraiser site as well! You can enter up until Sunday at midnight on August 8th. Then, we’ll pick a random winner for the charm fundraiser!

just another day in the life

7.15.10

Jumped in the pool fully clothed with a bag of teddy grahams in my hand and my car key remote attached to my belt loop to save a little girl; got to experience a waiting family being matched with the child they have been waiting a very long time for; made lunch and dinner and caught up with laundry; and mowed the lawn for the first time ever.

Just another day in the life of a mama.

That’s it

6.12.10

First day of school 2009
Last day of School 2010
That’s it. No one is allowed to get any bigger. The next person to grow an inch is going in time out. I’m simply putting my foot down. These four are not allowed to gain a pound, grow a shoe size, or learn a new vocabulary word. No one is allowed to tell me Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is for babies. They must still request for me to hold them even if I tell them my back hurts. They must climb into our bed each morning, and if they don’t, they are going to get it. I mean it.
If only it were that easy.
At least I still get this when she comes home and sees me Lydia.
Can’t believe I am now mother to a 3rd grader, 1st grader, and a PreK-er. At least, Lydia’s still home with me for a while. (sigh)

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
