Casca Coumo for The Sparrow Fund {Giveaway}

5.22.13

There is great significance in remembering where you came from;

it brings more clarity to where you are going.

When I happened upon Cassie’s Etsy store, I knew I found something I could get really excited about promoting—especially because this one is perfect for me.

especially since as I type, my husband is climbing the Great Wall. Seriously. Right now.

Wouldn’t it look so cute on a shorter chain and then one of these on a longer chain?

Cassie has joined our 50+ partners giving 10% of their total sales this May to support adoptive families. And, she has generously offered to give away one custom necklace of the winner’s choice here (worth $35) so that we can drive some traffic over here and raise awareness of the Build the Nest fundraiser going on this month to benefit The Sparrow Fund’s work to support adoptive families.

Enter now and try to win this necklace; you’ll love it. And, go check out all the partners’ sites. (If you leave a comment naming just one thing you have ordered/purchased from one of them this month, you get an extra 10 entries for any of the giveaways going on right now…and there are quite a few!)

You in the Word for The Sparrow Fund {Giveaway}

5.22.13

You in the Word. Personalized love letters from the heart of God’s Word uniquely created by literary artist, Colleen Marquez, author of the beautiful adoption book A Gift for Little Tree.

You provide the name. She provides the words made into art, prayerfully weaving names through Scripture to create art. Each piece is 11” x 14” and comes ready to present and hang. Here’s one example…

And, here’s my favorite one—it’s a new design based on the illustrations from her new book. Simply beautiful.

Bird in December for The Sparrow Fund {Giveaway}

5.20.13

My Great Auntie Laverne is truly Laverne Queen of Tea. She’s got the tea she likes and that’s that. When I saw Bird in December‘s tea wallets, I had to order one and have it sent directly to Aunt Verne. No more frustration when her host or restaurant doesn’t have her leaves of choice. Now, she can make every place BYOT. Can’t wait to hear how she likes it.

Given the age and how icky looking my wallet is looking and how low priced these are, I’m thinking I may need to order one of her regular wallets for myself. Wish I could enter my own giveaway. Alas, I cannot. But, you can.

Monica’s shop is one of the 50+ businesses giving 10% of their total sales this May to support adoptive families. And, she is giving away the cutest set of sparrow printed wallets here—ones not available on her site!—so that we can drive some traffic over here and raise awareness of the Build the Nest fundraiser going on this month to benefit The Sparrow Fund’s work to support adoptive families.

Art by Erin Leigh for The Sparrow Fund {Giveaway}

5.20.13

Erin Leigh is a mixed media collage artist, meaning she uses paper, paint, pastels, markers, and anything she can find basically to create. She combines rich texture and color with quotes and scripture that encourage. The result is pretty amazing. I have fallen in love with her work—as has my 9 year old who really wants me to buy her one of Erin Leigh’s original pieces. Apparently, she’s developed her own desire for original art, so cultured she is.

From the very start, she has been so excited about The Sparrow Fund and supporting us. And, her encouragement and excitement has been just what I needed.

Erin Leigh told me –

The orphan crisis weighs heavy on my heart. We are not in a place to adopt right now, so I love that i can be a part of this in some small way. . . . I’ve always seen adoption on this earth as a beautiful metaphor for the life that we have been given in Christ . . . We are sons and daughters of the king. We’ve been saved and adopted by our God, and it is impossible to read God’s word and not hear his heart for the fatherless, for the orphan, for the least of these. I am in awe of the families who open their hearts and homes to God’s little ones. I am thrilled to be able to use the gifts that God has given me to help bring even one of these children home, just as I have been called home, through his grace.

I’m so pumped to have Erin partner with us for the third year. Order one (or two or three) prints or an original piece of art (before Ashlyn convinces me to) to encourage you daily in your own home. I think you need one encouraging you daily like I have where I like to sit and read with mug in hand.

Erin Leigh’s shop is one of the 50+ businesses giving 10% of their total sales this May to support adoptive families. And, to start your Erin Leigh personal collection, Erin is giving away FOUR PRINTS here so that we can drive some traffic over here and raise awareness of the Build the Nest fundraiser going on this month to benefit The Sparrow Fund’s work to support adoptive families.

So, go ahead and enter to win the 4 prints of your choice. And, go check out all the partners’ sites. (If you leave a comment naming just one thing you have ordered/purchased from one of them this month, you get an extra 10 entries for any of the giveaways going on right now…and there are quite a few!)

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
