CCAA Review Room

4.24.08

Just read that the Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs has finally updated their website which says that families with log-in dates up to and including December 31, 2006 have now had their dossiers reviewed. It took 107 days to get through November and December, but at least they are through. Our LID is 7/23/2007. So, 7 more months of LIDs before we can get through the review room. Hopefully, they will start moving a little faster in that area. It will feel good when we are at least through that step and we know our paperwork has moved to the matching room. This picture is one few I’ve seen that is supposedly inside the review room. The CCAA doesn’t allow visitors and rarely allows photos by those who are invited in for a tour.

A Gift from a friend tonight

4.23.08

A dear friend of mine, a sister I’ve only just recently met and connected with, just emailed this Sara Groves song to me called “Prayer For This Child.” I am so thankful to her sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s leading to minister to me in this way. The song touched me deeply. Here are the lyrics.

I do not know how I am to pray for this child. As a mother, I don’t want my baby denied. But, in the waiting, in the waiting, I learned to hold onto the heart of God.

Every instinct in me wants to shield him from pain, take the arrows of misery, heartache, and blame. But, in the sorrow, in the sorrow, I learned to hold onto the heart of God.

I only have two eyes – be all seeing. I only have two hands – be everywhere. I do not know enough – be all knowing. I give my baby up into your care.

I do not know how I am to pray for this child. I want to guard him from everything wicked and wild. But, in the trial, in the trial, I learned to hold on. And, in the trial, in your trials, you’ll learn to hold onto the heart of God.

Thank you, Beth.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
