…to potty train a 3 year old boy? Apparently, once animal handlers in Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand had taught their elephants how to paint, dance, and play musical instruments, they toilet trained them. Seriously, if a 5-year-old elephant named Diew coincidentally can learn how to use and flush a toilet, how hard could it be for me to potty train a little blond troublemaker? I haven’t thought about it much, haven’t pushed it at all. But, seriously, I think it’s time.

We’re recuperating after a full week of the Dogwood Festival directly (and I mean, directly) across the street from our house. It’s always a fun week that the kids look forward to all year long. I can’t say that we’re sad to see it go come Saturday night though. The kids feel a bit differently though. Ashlyn took great comfort this year in knowing that the rides were leaving to go to someone else’s festival after ours.
