Hey Sevenly Team,
“World change is how we roll.” I got that sticker with my first Sevenly order, and still have it. I haven’t used it–just have it sitting out waiting patiently for the perfect placement at some point.

That first order supported the nonprofit All Girls Allowed. I was already a fan of the charity, but when I saw your campaign, I was hooked on wearing my heart on my sleeve. I ordered to support them and to support you because I didn’t just get hooked on that week’s charity, I was hooked on the vision of Sevenly and how the founders and team figured out how to use their skill set, abilities, and interests to change the world.

This week, I’ve been wanting to place another order to support another organization I love—Love Without Boundaries. As a mother to a daughter from China born with a special need, I know firsthand that the work of Love Without Boundaries touches the very heart of God. I wanna order a few things—maybe the fact that my husband is in China now doing purposeful work has made my wallet snap a little looser.

I’ve had my Internet windows up all week with the Sevenly shopping page up. Everyday, I browse at what’s available. It took me until late yesterday to finally click “order” because I couldn’t make up my mind about what size I needed. I see the size chart for each piece, and I’ve been measuring other pieces I have at home to compare, but that’s not easy to do if things aren’t the same exact style. My other option? Make a decision based on the images I’m shown—that is, based on your 5′ 10″ 140 lb. model…or your 5′ 9″ 130 lb. model. But, here’s the thing—I’m 36 years old and about 5’2″ and about 133 lbs. I don’t have the “perfect figure” like she does. And, neither does the average American woman—Miss Picket Fence America is a little over 5’4″ and more than 165 lbs. actually.

Here’s my challenge to you, Sevenly team, as you set out to change the world. Why don’t you start by making a stand against the marketing put in front of women that can send the message that they aren’t pretty enough, young enough, skinny enough, tall enough. Why not add some new models to your team, just as beautiful as the ones you currently have, who may help us see a bit more accurately what your artwork will look like on us and will communicate that your changing the world yourself by loudly yet subtly broadcasting through your website that all women are worthy and beautiful.

Just an idea. World change is how I roll.
