freeing the frog

6.22.09

The tadpole/frog that I featured not long ago on the blog met its demise…I think. In a matter of hours, its tail was gone. The next morning, I got the kids all ready to take down to the canal to free to the great yonder…but, we couldn’t find it. I guess it jumped out of the bowl. Who knows where it ended it up…or where I may find it eventually. So, when I noticed today that another tadpole was just about tail-less, we wasted no time. Off to St. Peter’s Village we went to the boulders to free it. The kids enjoyed jumping from boulder to boulder and looking for other creatures.

I’m a lover of any kind of amphibian, and am all for letting the kids watch the metamorphosis, but the thought of that little post-pollywog jumping out of the bowl and dehydrating somewhere in the kitchen just kind of icks me out. I hope you find him in a good way, and not by gross accident. Good thinkin’ getting the other one out of there lickety split!

    Evan (and Raudenbush family).
WOW!! You did a great job taking care of the tadpoles. I am sure it was fun seeing their legs grow. The place you let him go in is beautiful. I bet he loves his new home.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
