{Purposeful Giveaway} Power Capes

12.14.11

While you all are trimming trees and baking cookies, we got some action happening here.

superhero action, that is.

which comes in quite handy when you have a little boy home in the afternoons with a napping sister who needs something to do.
villain or hero…not sure.
And, frankly, even a Mom can be a superhero when duty calls.
Powercapes pretty much rocks. Custom superhero capes you design step-by-step yourself–or with little ones by your side. They are the one-stop shop for all things superhero and are handmade by moms themselves.
And, what makes me like them more is their commitment to supporting great causes. Not only do they run fundraisers for nonprofits, youth groups, schools, etc., but they have personally partnered with Heart Heroes to allow people to purchase a gift card for children with congenital heart disease to be able to customize their own capes.
Wouldn’t that be a great gift?
$25. You can even write a message to go to the child who will receive the gift card.
Told you it rocks.
And, Powercapes is offering one of you your very own sidekick sized cape–good for a little hero or sidekick.
Wouldn’t that gift code be an awesome gift? You can then sit and customize that cape together for fun as you drink hot cocoa and munch on those cookies. Way better than going to a crowded mall and stuffing an animal for fun.

That’s AWESOME! Clearly I’d be designing one for Cooper who laments his lack of a cape on a DAILY basis! :)

THis is awesome! I guess I’d have to design the cape with both kids in mind since they would need to share (or I’ll have one whining kid or two for that matter).

My son would love one. His super powers include the ability to leap from tall places and only scare his mom and rip his pants. A regular conversation after church includes the phrase no I will not help you climb that tree any higher. He always worries about losing his name tag and I have to remind him that it really doesn’t matter because everyone knows his name.

my daughter already has a powercape and loves it. I think my neice would love one, I’ll design one for her.

My son already thinks he is a superhero most of the time, so this would be perfect for him! While leaping off the couch or on the jungle gym at the park, this cape set sounds like a hit.

i can’t post a pic because my princesses aren’t final yet! however, our sons are, and have been for awhile. they have capes, the girls don’t. seems unfair. i’d love to be able to give our new additions one! (they’ve been home 2 1/2 months, not one of the things i’ve been on top of yet!)

  9. cbrueggie says

    12.14.11 at 10:24 pm

our superhero sons have capes, but our new ( 2 and a 1/2 months ago) 2 and 4 year old daughters DO NOT and i’d love to even it up! the do plenty of leaping, flying and saving! they even slay alligators!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
