I created!

11.5.10

So, it’s not anything close to Red Thread Stitches, but I’m pretty darn proud of myself.

I have a really cool vintage Disney pillowcase I wanted to make into a tunic top for Ashlyn. But, I didn’t want to ruin it with my first attempt at it. So, I made this yesterday out of an old tank top we had and some old Raggedy Ann and Andy sheets from when I was little. I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s super cute. And, I loved it with the red striped socks and red Mary Janes today.

There is something so rewarding about turning nothing into something, you know? And, there is something so rewarding about having a finished product to my efforts. So much of what I do doesn’t have any sort of finished product–“mom stuff” typically doesn’t.

I could get into this.

Super cute! You better be careful – I hear it is addicting (that RUSH you get from realizing that your hands can actually CREATE stuff!!) lol…Love it, Mama and Ashlyn is a cutie patootie model!

Very cool job! Isn’t it cool to know that feeling of creating something … just think how God felt after each of His days of Creation! Just steppin’ back and saying, “It was good … very good!”

Well, now I know why you hold onto everything! Great job! Wish I could sew, but I am really handy with a hot glue gun…

Great job, Kelly…it’s adorable! And who doesn’t just love some vintage Raggedy Ann & Andy!?! :)

I know what you mean about creative things… designing and anything artsy or artistic is in my blood… so once I get started, it’s hard to stop!

Yep, I could see a market for that… especially with some cute striped tights (they’re out in stores for the holidays now!) and maryjanes like you did in the pics! CUTE!!!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
