Snapshot o’ Trick o’ Treatin’

11.1.10

“Oh yeah, baby” as Drew would say.
We had a Mario, Donkey Kong, a flower who did not want her petals up, and a beautiful peacock.

I love how dear Evan looks the same in every single shot of the 20 I took like this. Obviously, that was not the case for dear Lydia who you would have thought was in a Venus Fly Trap costume the way she was trying to get that darn thing off of her head.

There surely was no need for me to do this (sneak a Kit Kat yesterday when I could not find a craving…please tell me I’m not the only Mom who did this).

Because after they did this…

(which Lydia quickly got the hang of and loved…but only if they had lollipops)

We ended up doing this…

sorting candy…and lots of it. Seriously. Lots. Of. Candy.

Here was Drew’s attempt at sorting. Yes, that’s one box of candy in a bag. Guess it didn’t fit in with the other categories.

A personal note of thanks to the neighbors who gave out pretzels. Perhaps the kids don’t like you as much, but we moms thank you. And, to the random person who somewhere gave my kids mints from Olive Garden, fooey on you.

Oh they looked so cute! That candy sorting cracked me up. But what had me laughing out loud (my hubby too) was the OG mints! HAHAHAHA That was just not right. Although, my kids love those, so it may not have been all bad for us.

I couldn’t get any good shots of my two year old with her Elmo head up either. She just didn’t think it was supposed to be on her head!

I have a Drew & a Lydia, too! Great minds, huh? Now, if only my husband would say yes to a few more adoptions, I could copy your other children, too ; ) Although, my Drew is 24 so I probably wasn’t copying you, then.

Such a great looking crew you’ve got! Oh my, that looks like a lot of sweets and I immediately realize that my girls would be in heaven if they saw that.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

An Olive Garden mint?? Shame! I really appreciated the puzzles, the plastic bugs, the pretzels, cheezits and fruit snacks! I love those Mommas!

But hey – a full size candy bar??: okay in my book, anyday!!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
