Okay, God…

10.21.10

This was Ashlyn’s devotional last night which I sat down to do with her as we always do. By night, my whisper had turned even more whispery from a day of straining to speak.

“Voices can be loud. Voices can be quiet. Voices can be hard or soft. What kind of voice do you have? God also has a voice!”
Okay, God, I’m listening.

Yep, that sounds like God. Not sure what He’s telling you through all of this, but you can be rest-assured that he is in this, walking with you.

You know….I tell people all the time- you want a dose of conviction, start doing devotions with your kids. I SWEAR…..those moments tend to be often the most convicting for me. When we read through the Jesus storybook Bible, I think every night one or the other of us would come out having been hit right between the eyes! :)

Amazing how when we think we are doing something for someone else, God really wants to use it in our lives. I’ve seen this with adoption, with serving in children’s ministry……God likes to constantly remind me that He wants to work on ME!

I’m with Jenna on this one, too… it’s funny how God often reaches us through our children… or when we are having our times of devotion with them. Sometimes the most simple words speak volumes!!

I think I need this devotion, too… please, send me the title/author!! ;)

    Be well!! <><

Would you mind sharing what book this is? Thanks! :)

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
