Wordless Wednesday From the Recovery Room

10.13.10

That’s my bedroom….and it’s wordless (from me at least)

I intended to do a quick update last night, but Percocet is a crazy drug. I am going through a cycle of discomfort, then pain, then trying to eat a little something so that I can take Percocet and then being in a Percocet-induced stupor for several hours. It gives me some crazy daydreams and real dreams. Last night, I daydreamed an idea for an Office episode. I know, strange.
Dwight starts a blog about beet farming and is all excited about it though no one reads it. So, Jim starts leaving comments and leaves hundreds of them. Dwight is excited at first and then realizes he’s being mocked. Jim says he’ll stop. Then, Jim and Pam hijack the blog entirely using some totally predictable Dwight password and actually put on some interesting posts that draw readers. Real comments start appearing as people are drawn to the blog, and Dwight gets mad and then deletes the blog entirely. Sounds like some good material to me. Maybe the writers there take Percocet.
Surgery went well so the doctor said, despite a tough time waking up from anesthesia (I was in a panic for some reason). I now have a 1/4 cup of fat from my belly in my vocal cords. Odd. With that 1/4 cup, I feel like my throat is very very small. So, I had what was like an asthma attack in the hospital. Despite all my oxygen numbers being good, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. So scary.
So, for now, I lay in bed with a nice-sized cut in my neck and a full girdle on my belly. Definitely no skinny jeans this week.
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway, my way of getting lots of comments, business for Jiayin Designs, and We Are Grafted In ideas to keep me busy over the next few days.

That Percocet is some nasty stuff… I was on it after my back surgery (back in ’08) and had some major allergic reactions to it, and serious hallucinating, so my doc cut me off cold-turkey and I had to resort to over-the-counter X-strength Tylenol. It was NO fun and some seriously uncomfortable days, but at least I was inside my own head! ;)

Praying for your recovery in the days ahead. I’m amazed you are still able to find the strength to blog. I always knew you were Super Woman!! At least you got some lipo with your surgery! ;)

    Feel better soon! <>< Hugs,
    Tanya

*ugh* any drug like that is sooo crappy. That’s why I still have two wisdom teeth!! LOL!

I am praying for you in your recovery. Praying especially that it’s quick, full, and that you won’t have a lot of anxiety over not being able to talk for a few days.

Thanking the Lord with you that surgery went smoothly, but it sounds like a somewhat scary recovery. YUCK! Reactions to meds are no fun. Praying these next few days bring healing and your ability to get into those skinny jeans. ;)

Oh and YES, please, I’d love to have you add my button to the Grafted In Fundraiser site. THANK YOU!!

    HUGS!!…gently ;)

Just catching up on some blogs, sorry to hear you are in the hospital, but glad that you may get some relief for those vocal cords! You had me cracking up about those skinny jeans. I too think that I couldn’t possibly ever wear a pair…maybe I will give them a try! Hugs~

Praying for a speedy recovery! I think you should send that in to The Office writers!
And BTW, I bought some skinny jeans this week too. Tried them on….not too bad… then I decided I wanted a different shade and I just grabbed my size. Realized when I got home that they have holes in them…they are supposed to. So back to Target I will go today to exchange them for a pair that doesn’t make me look like I’m trying to be 15!

despite the fact that you are feeling crummy and are recovering from surgery, this entry totally made me laugh. Hope everything starts to feel better soon. I understand some parts of how you feel and feel for you. Can’t wait until you can talk again…so I can call you. Love you!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
