Thursday’s Things to Pray For

9.23.10

  1. Lydia is scheduled for her ear tubes (I keep wanting to call it a “tubal”–thank goodness that’s not happening!) on October 4th–about a week and a half from now. Pray for that to be successful and for her hearing to be restored.
  2. Some of you (alright, very few of you probably) may remember my vocal cord problems (read this or this or this for some examples of the saga). Well, after seeing my specialist this morning, we have another surgery now scheduled for October 12th. Recovery includes 3 days of complete silence (not nearly as bad as the weeks I had before) and 4 weeks of no lifting anything over 10 lbs. (Lydia is a peanut but is definitely over 10 lbs., nearing 20 lbs. now). Not thrilled about this, but we knew it was coming. Pray for a very successful surgery so that this could be my last one! And, pray for that recovery time. I’m sure anyone who keeps reading will hear a whole lot more about all that–may be a recurring Thursday Thing to Pray For for a while.
  3. Pray for me personally — for peace and rest and for endurance to do what the Lord has called me to do and let go of the things He has not called me to do.

Click here to learn more about Thursday’s Things to Pray For. Pray for me, for these things I list. And, leave me a comment to let me know you did if you don’t mind. It would be a great encouragement. And, I invite you to do the same on your blog–haven’t had too many takers on this in weeks past. But, I still feel compelled to invite you to.

Oh, man- lots of doctors for you all!!! How will you avoid lifting Lydia for 4 weeks??? Wish I lived closer!!

I’m always praying for you- and thanking God for you too. Every time I think of Cooper I think of all you did for us during that crazy week!!! I’m STILL writing that story- like a sentence every day-. Maybe I’ll have it written before he comes home!! :)

Loving your packing list too! :)

    Praying for you!!!

Kelly – I’m so sorry to hear that you need surgery again. I read your posts and it seems like this is an issue you have been dealing with for years. I will pray for you and your family during the weeks ahead. Have you read Sacred Rhythms? This book came to mind as I read your post, I bought it but haven’t read it yet so I’m not sure why I’m recommending it but it has come highly recommended my many women at our church.

Hope you have a good weekend! Anne

Kelly: i pray that you do well at your surgery; and will pray for that every coming week. I pray that Lydia also does well in her tubes surgery. All is in Gods hand, so you are very well prtected and cared for.

And most of all i pray for YOU.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
