before and after

8.4.10

Lydia.
Her neck creases are screaming “smooch me.”
Her dimples are the cutest.
Even her wee little bottom tooth coming in on the right is downright precious.
Love it. Love her.
Taking these pictures, I just wanted to cuddle her and snuggle her and tickle her like crazy.

Until 10 minutes later.

While I was uploading these heart-warming pictures to my computer, Lydia managed to climb the stairs and toddle into the bathroom where one of my other lovely children used the toilet and did not flush and did not close the lid (I’m 100% certain no hands were washed either).

I came upstairs to fetch her, with warm feelings still in my heart from our happy photo shoot, only to find her playing in the potty and completely submerging her blanket (which we call Ren Ren named after the grocery store in Xi’an). She then was snuggling her soaked blanket and sucking her fingers as she slipped around on the now totally soaked bathroom floor.

Ick.

Ick.

Ick.
No after pictures. I prefer to remember the before pictures.
Ick.

Oh, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Say it isn’t so!!!! Why did I find myself hoping for some after pictures?!?! How sick am I? So, how tempted were you to dunk her in bleach? :0 Good thing kiddos are so resiliant, right?!

Oh my goodness, my Lydia has taken to doing the same thing recently but she is two years old!!! Is it something to do having the name Lydia I wonder?

OH WOW – just what you needed right? Reminds me of the time Isaac unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper and dumped it all in the toilet.

    Lydia is SO cute!!!

Oh how lovely! *NOT* Our Jin Bei enjoyed splashing in the toliet in China. So needless to say, we put a lock on her toliet when we got home. Ugh, I just can’t imagine. Poor mommy.

On another note, Lydia is a beautiful girl! I love those dimples and that smile too!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
