Seriously sweet

7.20.10

For those of you curious about this post, no, it was not my child I jumped in after. And, yes, it was quite a scene. The swim instructors had taken their eyes away from her to watch other kids, and the lifeguards hadn’t noticed her struggling either.Don’t worry though, I made sure the director got the full report (you better believe I did!) as did the little girl’s mother. It was all dealt with very well–the young instructors will not soon forget the experience, I’m sure. Neither will I. And, unfortunately, the little girl may not either. But, she did get back in the pool today for her lesson though tentatively. And, look what I got today from her (I took her name off the bottom). Seriously sweet. She got a hug and a pep talk from me. She’s so brave!

So sweet of her to give you a note.

This is one reason why during my kids last round of lessons I stood on the pool deck (and sweated). Sarah’s teacher was young and seemed distracted most of the time. Then Sarah wanted to do the lessons without her bubble(which the teacher never took off anyway), so i was afraid to step away. Sarah did struggle once for a bit and the teacher never noticed even though she was within arms reach.

We saw someone “in charge” come out to the pool after your kids’ class and pull the assistant teachers (I think A. has the same teachers that E & A have for their class). I am guessing they got an earful! When they came back they were helping in separate classes. Although today they were not there at all ….

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
