Toy Story 3

7.11.10

Surprised the kids this rainy Saturday….

“Guys, family meeting. Here’s what we’re doing today. It’s 3 words and the third word is three.” Even after telling them the second word was “story,” it took a while for them to get it. But, when they did, excitement ensued!
Warning: Mothers, prepare to cry…possibly hard. I was a mess at the end. I thought I was either disgustingly pathetic or a hormonal wreck. But, another mom told me tonight that she cried too (and her baby is 27).
I’m treating my kids’ toys a little more gently tonight. Just what Mark wants to hear–his pack rat wife is now wanting to hold onto more toys.

I’ve heard that it is a tear-jerker for Mom’s. I’ll be sure to go prepared with tissues when we go see it. I have a select few near and dear toys that I will hold onto for sure to remind me of these precious years.

we saw it too. we cried…rand a little harder than me. :) instead of making me want to hang onto the toys, it made me want to have a bunch more kids…so they would never grow up and leave me! :)

Glad to hear that I am not the only mommy who cried!

OH, no one warned me either, and I cried hard too!!! Who knew? I came home and made a mental list of all the toys that we are NOt getting rid of- the ones I want my grandkids to play with. But, like you, my list was FAR longer than Scot’s (I’m a pack-rat too)!!!!

    Yup – I cried too!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
