Lydia has the smallest walking feet
in all of America.

Now that she is definitely a mover and a shaker and because leather robeez are a little warm for the weather we’ve been having lately, we headed out to a kids speciality shoe store today to find some little walking shoes. That’s when I found out that there are not walking shoes made in Lydia’s size. Her feet are that small. I managed to find a cute pair of Pedipeds that will work for us though I’m not thrilled with the sole of them which is still pretty soft and slippery (I know that soft and flexible is good and all, but what if she steps on a rock or something? And, with our hardwood floors, the girl is slipping around everywhere if she’s got anything on those bare piggies.). I couldn’t believe we had to buy the 0-6 mo. size. I mean, really, Lydia, you are petite! She is 14 months old in 3 days! And, I couldn’t believe how much the teeniest shoes you can buy cost. Geez. Perhaps I should have bought more obnoxious little squeaky shoes in China! Apparently, they do make (and sell) small walking shoes there! The pricey Pedipeds are pretty cute though. They are deserving of their own picture on the blog.

Introducing, Lydia’s 0-6 mo. sized walking/crib shoe…

Their sweet! & her feet~well, I LOVE baby feet! Maybe that means her Panda shoes I sent will fit her this fall! I sure hope so! Brynn has LOTS of shoes…I would have let you borrow some, but I bet they are in the same size! Maybe Brynn’s feet are bigger. She is in 3-6 I think. Size 2-3. I don’t know….we have so many from years of second handing & yard sales that we just try till we find some that fit. ;o) Lydia seems to be thriving. Makes my face & my heart smile! Brynn was 16.9 pounds a few weeks ago at about 4 1/2 months. Bet she is bigger than Lydia, huh? Lydia is precious, so perfect! & as for the price of shoes & for that matter the price of all things baby~WOW, huh? “Sweet Repeats”, hand-me downs, yard sales, thrift, GoodWill etc. in our opinion is the only way! Brynn grows out of things before she wears it. If I have only paid a second hand prices or it’s been given to us, I don’t feel so bad! Hope her sweet little feet love the sweet little shoes & that they work out great!

Love those tiny feet! Pedipeds are the best – good choice;) We need a frame of reference. Perhaps a universally sized object next to those tiny tootsies!

Too funny! The Chinese are so small compared to us big Americans! Brad (size 13 shoe) and I (size 8.5 shoe) couldn’t find any shoes (or many other clothes) in China to fit us. And some of the Chinese baby clothes Naomi was given were already too small for her at birth. But they are certainly cute! :)

We LOVE pedipeds! We actually prefer them for walking shoes :) They are pricey so I do check consignement stores for them. They have great re-sale value if you ebay or are on any clothing boards ;)

What cute little feet! I am right there with you. Our little girl is 5 years old and wears a size 7. I think my other children’s first walking shoes were a size 5. Hope she enjoys her new shoes!

Oh my goodness, she has the sweetest little feet! Our little Sofia was the same way when we received her. She was in a size 2 at 11 mos. I love how little your Lydia is. Such a sweet and beautiful princess.

    hugs,
    Jonni

I am so beyond happy we brought home so many pairs of squeeky shoes and just removed the squeekers. It was a long time before our girl could catch up to the US walkers. LOL. I found your blog through football and fried rice.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
