The day before the day before we leave

3.22.10

Evan’s tripping on the stairs yesterday afternoon was not a biggie…yesterday. Sure, he was limping a little, but it was nothing a good night sleep couldn’t cure….right? When he couldn’t put any weight on it this morning, my list of things to do changed dramatically. Instead of going down my list and checking it twice, I took Evan to the pediatrician, then the hospital for xrays, then the orthopedic because he fractured his foot in two places. Praise God he didn’t need to be casted. He just has a special shoe to wear around until we get home from China. Poor guy. Now, no time to be blogging! I have to catch up with my list!

Best quote of the day was from Drew in the exam room, totally out of nowhere (seemingly), “Why is it called a forehead when you don’t have four heads?”
Now, back to work!

Oh.my.goodness! He doesn’t look any worse for the wear – at least not in this picture! Hope his foot heals quickly and that you have a wonderful trip. Will look forward to reading all about it…

Oh MY! Hope he feels well and it doesn’t bother him. Kids have impeccable timing, don’t they?

OH my goodness Evan! Hope you heal VERY fast and are running like crazy in time to keep up with your new little sister!

Kelly–just a reminder that we really don’t have control of all the details–God does and I’m sure this too is part of His plan somehow. As crazy as that sounds. :)

You are all set! No need to stress or worry. The only thing you definately want to check and triple check is your PAPERWORK!!! Yeah..can not buy any of that at Wal-mart. :) Every thing else you can work through it without a hitch!

Why does stuff like this seem to happen so often before people travel?? I personally think it’s Satan’s way of trying to throw us off track, and get us all flustered. He doesn’t want to see any orphans come home, so he does what he can to get us all flustered. NOT gonna work though, is it!?! Glad to know it’s nothing too serious and that he doesn’t have to be casted.

I can’t believe you leave this week. Can I SCREAM for you!?! ;)

Oh my goodness! I saw the exam table and thought, “oh, no…” Praise the Lord that it’s not anything worse.

Of course this would happen today…you’re leaving tomorrow!!!

Will be praying for you as you guys travel. We’ll also pray for the kiddos at home.

Oh my goodness, you didn’t need that yesterday! But, it looks like you handled it with grace and I love his little joke! Hopefully he doesn’t have a lot of pain, and it heals nicely when you are gone.

I agree with Lisa that I am sure you are so ready for this trip! You have been waiting a LONG time and the time is FINALLY here, Kelly! And, PAPERWORK is definitely the most important, everything else you can shop in China for!

Can’t wait for your next post!!!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
