against every fiber of my being

12.22.09

This is Ashlyn yesterday during her kindergarten Christmas concert, looking sweet as Christmas cookies.
This is Ashlyn today, waiting for the bus on Polar Express Day. All the kids were told to wear their pajamas to school. The bed head became an accessory. I so wanted to comb that mess! (note: she did change her pajamas to be fresh and clean for school, in case you were wondering. I may have allowed the bed head, but there is no way I’d let her wear the pjs she wore to bed to school. There is a limit to the craziness.)

OH MY! That would have taken every ounce of strength in me to let that go out the door! I’m with you! It’s cute when it’s on other people’s kids, isn’t it? My kids went to a pj thing at the library and I made them change and put on clean jammies when they got home!

That is some impressive bed head! We always say that you can tell how well the girls slept by looking at their hair.

Ummmmmm …. I combed Audrey’s hair, but am I a bad mother if I let her go to school in the PJ’s she slept in?? I didn’t think it was THAT gross. She is only 6, doesn’t wet the bed or sweat a lot …

Now THAT is a real bed head! That girl must wallow all night long! Precious!

Okay, that’s hilarious!!! And I’ve been joking too with my husband that we’re going back to China for a boy. I’m actually serious but Scott thinks I am nuts. He says to take it one child at a time, and we’ve only been home a week. Maybe we can coordinate our trips! :)

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
