how hard could it be…

5.24.09

…to potty train a 3 year old boy? Apparently, once animal handlers in Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand had taught their elephants how to paint, dance, and play musical instruments, they toilet trained them. Seriously, if a 5-year-old elephant named Diew coincidentally can learn how to use and flush a toilet, how hard could it be for me to potty train a little blond troublemaker? I haven’t thought about it much, haven’t pushed it at all. But, seriously, I think it’s time.

That picture is so funny and yet so gross at the same time.

It’s the perfect time, think outside! Owen trained this way, there is just something so boy about tinkling on a tree. :)

    Kelly,
Contact me privately using my email address if you want and we can compare notes on this issue. I JUST finished potty training my 3 1/2 year old son. Some things worked and others were thrown by the wayside along the way.

i’m not sure if it makes me feel better or worse that animals can be taught this skill that alluded my children for so long. (we are LATE potty trainers in our house ;-)

Ok…I am still laughing…good luck with the potty training! It’s got to be easier than training an elephant!!

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
