Evan’s harvest festival

10.31.08

Schools around here no longer do Halloween parades in costume. Is that universal? Instead, all the kids were told to wear jeans and plaid shirts to look like farmers/scarecrows and they had games outside and some special snacks for what they called a “harvest festival.” I love Halloween parades and seeing all the kids in costume. Too bad.

Yea, kind of sad about the lack of costume fun for kids these days. I really, really LOVE that last picture. That’s one to frame if you ask me!

    Kelly,

I just read a bunch of your blogs and enjoyed getting “caught up.” I wanted to comment on this one. I also agree that it is OK to let the kids parade around in their Halloween costumes. I was so glad when Annie’s pre-school announced that they would be having a costume parade! (And best part is, she goes to a Christian pre-school!) It was so fun to see her and all the kids in their Halloween garb!

I loved your kids costumes – and appreciate all the time you spend blogging to keep us all up to date.

    Love, Jess

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
