more words of wisdom from the speechless

10.15.08

Okay, so maybe yesterday’s Bible verse wasn’t totally appropriate since I am not choosing to hold my tongue. But, I still thought it was worth noting. I must say that living in silence has been teaching me some things. Here’s some thoughts for today:

I charaded to Mark last night how frustrated I am to have so many thoughts in my head and be unable to speak them. He said, “Well, I guess it’s better to have a lot of thoughts and no words to express them than to have a lot of words with no thought behind them.”

Hopefully, tomorrow, I’ll get the okay to speak again and my vocal cords will work to enable me to do so. In the meantime, I’ll just be thankful for the help I have gotten thus far (my mom was a great intepreter at the mall for me today as I had some things I had to do today) and how though I cannot speak, God still speaks (and, I must say that it does seem louder when I’m silent).

what a beautiful and comforting thing to say…profound…yes…so sorry my friend you are ill, but just like YOU, you always find a way to learn something from a tough spot…and make lemonade out of lemons…is that how the saying goes…you know what I mean.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
