so long summer

9.5.08

Summer is officially over (though the temperatures don’t feel like it). Evan tearfully went to school again this morning–I know he’ll get used to it soon; we expected the tears. Ashlyn went to her first real day of preschool today–she barely said goodbye to me. Drew begged to stay and play at preschool and was sad to have to leave–one more year, then he’ll be at preschool on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Summer is over–these flip flops of Ashlyn illustrate it well. We had some fun this summer–we took 10 museum trips, played at Shorecrest in Fenwick Island, enjoyed playing with friends, read books with the library’s reading club, and then some. These shoes–which Ash wore pretty much everyday–tell the story of our travels. Now, it’s time to settle down in school again and wear some new shoes.

Hello

I overthink everything. This blog is a prime example. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for a read. Actually, make that a pot of coffee. There’s a lot of overthinking here.
